MANILArt 2014..
“ART washes from the soul the dusts of everyday life.”
It’s Friday night and one of my best buddies slept over at home to spend the weekend with me for some activities. She lined up a few such as having a Swedish massage and eating out at BGC (Bonifacio Global City) on top of my pre-sched visit to an Art Fair and attend a birthday party. We were able to divide four activities from Saturday to Sunday wishing weekends will be more than two days the very least.
Squeezing in midnight snack to bond on our favorite quick-service restaurant a few blocks away from home. Our all time favorite twister fries only happens on the last quarter of every year and we don’t want to miss it.
Come Sunday, we headed to this fair called MANILArt which I have calendared since last year. It used to be my world and I want to again experience what’s it like being around Bohemians once again. A rhapsody of everything fair.

Some of my college batchmates hold their own exhibits through the years and I only get to see them from our group chats. I have always been an spectator online. Now, I can’t wait to see one. In living color. I was welcomed by this Buddha.

Their names are no longer familiar to me. They are the young artists of today with a common passion as what I have been with more than 20 years ago.

And I must say, It felt the same. And as Art itself evolves. They still awed me, inspired me, and quenched my thirst to absorb how endless art can be expressed ceaselessly by different individuals with varying views and imaginations of how life and beauty conives and finally translate it to a canvas, or a paper, or Strathmore perhaps.

Some of which reminded me of known artists too. As it is being said that Art can always be recycled. Copied. Transcribed. Not as exact. We get ideas from all around us, and we twist it, we tweak it, enhance it, we play with colors and different mediums until it is all ours and become personalized. We then own it. It is how Art is conveyed. I am looking forward to more exhibits and ManilArt next year.

Secretly, I have gathered ideas what’s gonna happen when it’s my time to launch my very first book. My close friends giving out leaflets and tokens as to what to expect from my book with the warmest greetings they could give to our guests. I see cocktails too. =)
Now that’s what we call Creative Visualization. I’m so excited! (–,) ❤ ❤ ❤
