My son and his girlfriend just had our late snack from this burger joint at Molito Lifestyle Center. What we’ve consumed were so flavorful, not to mention, a little oily too, so we agreed to have some dessert somewhere else just to cap everything off.
We found “Nana & Co.” It is a dessert and sandwich bar. I wondered why I have overlooked this place, my friend told me that we usually passed by this restaurant but were always heading to Starbucks just fronting Nana & Co each time.
It is a cozy place, very quite, its’ high ceiling made an impact to create an eminent ambiance and their display shelves were the ones that will attract you to go inside. What awaits you is a very colorful and happy scene.
The walls are white and those flashes of happy colors matched the neutral colors of the chairs and table.
Their shelves are stocked-up, there were no empty space, so it is very inviting.
All the staff are smiling too when we came and one of them rushed to welcome and had us sitted. He even courteously asked if where do we want to be sitted.
Their products are neatly labeled and are very attractive, and there are stuff about baking all over the place.
It was pleasing to the eye especially if you’re a dessert lover.
I ordered for their pistachio sansrival. I usually asked what’s their best seller. It just so happen that it is what I ordered. Other items that sells best according to the attendant is the blueberry cheesecake. My son ordered for one.
I honestly loved the sansrival, not too sweet and there’s a generous amount of pistachio in all layers, I could have it in exchange with my all-time favorite blueberry cheesecake.
The blueberry cheesecake is the usual like how it should be.
I would have to try their home-made artisanal ice cream soon. Their flavors are very enticing.
Nana & Co is located at: Molito Commercial Complex, Alabang, Muntinlupa City

Nowadays, I hear things that I don’t practically understand, millennial terms that I need to ask my son its’ meaning even how it is pronounced. He helps me update my vocabulary especially that I blog/ write. Like “rad” (cool or edgy), “meme”, “sepanx”, “salty”, “fleek”, “bae”, “adulting”, “chill”, “squad goals”, “instagrammable”, “yolo” or “fomo”, “FC” (feeling close), to mention a few.
There’s one term that I’m really loving lately: “Brekkie!”
I see it everywhere!
So since I’m loving this word, and literally loving having it, I might as well blog about it, I only have a few photos as references, but I’ll start collecting. You may contribute and add one here if you wish so, and I’ll try it if time (and budget) permits me!
Thanks in advance! =)
Jen my foodie buddie promised me weeks ago that she will treat me to another breakfast place: “Eggs for Breakfast”, she has spotted it on her way home to Antipolo and we’ve been meaning to visit it soonest. And definitely I shall add it here. =) I recently found one in Alabang too, “Bean & Yolk”. Any suggestions please? =)
This is the day or should I say the night that we’ve been waiting for. We are going to watch “Les Miserables” at the theater of Solaire Hotel.
Solaire is just in front of City of Dreams which cab drivers calls it as COD, so we didn’t have a hard time getting there.
Before everything else. We need to feed our stomachs prior to feeding our eyes much so our soul.
We landed at “The Patisserie”.
It didn’t allow us to look no further as the display of pastries in their chillers are so inviting and we actually had a hard time choosing as well.
Jen all the more had a hard time choosing too…
On top of our usual doze of coffee. Cafe latte for me and as well know, caramel for my foodie buddy.
I had ciabatta (the white one) with ham, tomato and cheese.
And for weeks now, Jen is on a diet, so she just had a tiny weeny dome of chocolate which I made her promise to share with me.
I do not want to miss mentioning that the iced tea at Solaire is one of the best I’ve tasted.
They’ve got ice creams too..
I honestly liked my grilled sandwich, with melted cheese on it and of course the tomatoes. I like anything with tomatoes.
My coffee was a bit strong so I had to request for a simple syrup.
Jen seems to be enjoying hers. It is with caramel anyway.
We were invited to try dining at the Oasis Garden cafe, however I am much into leaning to try it at Lucky Noodles because of it’s super huge mural. =)
Much to getting high on being able to watch a play I’ve been wishing to be in Manila, I also enjoyed finding beauty in every corner of this hotel.
There are brightly colored flowers all around infusing me love for life, all the more.
I just got over the first quarter of 2016 and it has been big for me so far. And very soon after this, I know better days will come.
True enough, there’s always and always something to be grateful for. The sweet results of hard work and choices we make, of planning to make the best out of what I have in life. Giving a lot to it and life giving back all the elements making up the sweet life.
I’m telling you, just find beauty in the ordinary, everyday. I just did. =)

It has been months that we have been eyeing to spend one of our birthdays at this cozy locale in Cavite – Balay Indang. And due again to schedules that won’t meet, we had to postponed it, until finally, It is Theresa’s birthday this month of October, so we all agreed to do it at Balay Indang.
It is a less than 2 hour drive taking the new MCX, we went straight to Trese Martirez and after reaching the junction at Tagaytay, we turned right several times (Savemore and Mendez) and 30 minutes after, we’ve reached our destination.
Balay Indang is a 5-hectare lot of massive flora. I’ve mused on numerous rare species of very pretty flowers in all colors.
Big and small trees with leaves in different shapes and varying shades of green. Being around it, nature per se, is truly beguiling. Like it was rendered by an artist in an all natural crisp palette that went well with the country-side like setting on this secluded part of Indang, Cavite.
It is a Bed and Breakfast destination meant for those who really needs peace and quiet or that so called R&R (rest and relaxation). Once you are there, as we were, it is just between the sound of silence or the sound of frolicking leaves.
They also accommodate Retreat activities and the place is just so right. I just learned it later prompted by my wondering of seeing several Holy bibles in the area. There are 17 rooms, a pool, some gazebos, some cabanas, even a vast hall probably to hold events like birthdays and weddings for big groups.
The staff are friendly as expected, they will instantly greet you with an anticipated smile on their faces, and even if you are enjoying your own moment, you can’t help but greet them back. As I have been observing them, they all too must love their surroundings. I am amazed how positively genuine ardor can nature provide to anyone who see through its’ beauty. It reminds me of this famous saying: “May the force be with you.”
And so some force led us to the dining area. Lol! It’s time to make our tummies happy. It was a long trip anyway.
So this is what we feasted on:
Fried rice with teeny weeny bits of carrots.
Chicken – Inasal style.
Oatmeal coated shrimp balls was the winner on the table.
Among those on the spread, the green salad is my personal favorite. I especially love their vinaigrette, the mixture worked for me and I guess with everyone else too.
Beef Caldereta. Flavorful and very tender.
Gising-gising is another chance for us to have veggies. =) (Oh my, I don’t have a picture of it!)
Baked Cream dory in cheese.
And pancit (for the celebrant’s long prosperous life) utilizing sotanghon instead of the typical bijon.
We had fresh Dalandan juice, we consumed a number of pitchers.
And a very soft maja for dessert.
The talks were non-stop, from while traveling, eating, taking photos at every chance, laughter in between. Even inside the loo. Even jump shots!
And we were like kids during the 30 minute trek, wandering and wondering. It is doubtlessly moments created out of sterling friendship.
Our photos might have give justice to it.
Happy birthday Theresa!!! Now we’re all looking forward to (Jhona) our youngest’s bash, where and when we will do it, is yet to be known. #excited
We wouldn’t want another group chats reaching 400 plus messages. Lol!
