KIEHLS Lip balms…<3

“I’m a big believer that if you focus on good skin care, you really won’t need a lot of make up.” ~Demi Moore~

Evolution of lip balms. Being a teenager, I have been exposed to a myriad of inclinations, interests, even a kind of culture and fascinations. During high-school, groups are divided by dogmas, beliefs and values. Even of choices of food. On the lighter side, as young as I was. Having girlfriends and boys, bugging you around. You tend to exert effort to look good and be as beautiful as you can be. A common ground among young girls. You learn to put make-up. Most of my girlfriends even sorted to hairsprays, like not being able to go out of the house without their hairs neatly fixed. Vanity. I am not that into make-ups, some even said they even like me better without it. Still I fell in love with eye shadows, I tried blue, green and even those that shines. I liked eyeliners too. And the liking, were soon gone. I learned to use mascara and curlers. Believing the tags and advertisements on enhancement. I also got away with it. What remained are these three: lipstick, loose powder and an eyelash curler.

My aunts reminded me to rest my lips from lipstick, afraid of ruining my lips, I learned about the importance of lip balms. Through the years. I learned to live by it. Like a rule of not doing without it. I already forgot the first brand I maintained. Then I switched to Neutrogena. And finally I found what suits me best. No after taste no greasy feel (which makes so uncomfortable) and even on cold days when lips were damaged and cracked by the cold, I found Kiehl’s.

2nd tube…

My first tube was from an aunt whos based in the US. And I liked it ever since. When they opened a branch in Manila (Greenbelt 5). I think I was one of the first 100 customers. And that was more than 5 years ago. Another brand was introduced to me and loved it too, it’s just that I remained faithful to Kiehl’s.

Learning to love the other on top of the very useful lip balm. Useful because at times I get rashes or allergies on my face or neck or even arms. Applying the balm was a quick fix. It was an instant relief. The moment my first tube was empty, running to the store is so easy. I’ve got no intention of switching. And opted to use them randomly. Besides the non allergenic principle was applicable to me. I use them alternately. Creme de corps was a stand out and since I am not getting any younger. The wrinkle corrector is on my list.

Bench Hand Sanitizer

BENCH hand sanitizer

“Be the change you want to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Gone are the days when we find alcohol bottles inside our bags. Innovations included a small bottle of hand sanitizers that comes out so handy we can bring them everyday.

My favorite scent in violet!

Not only that, they now come in different scents, packed beautifully in varying colors depicting each special flavor.

Strawberry flavor!
Green apple flavor!
Kiwi flavor!

The good news is it doesn’t dry my skin and the scent is lasting. =)

There was even a time, when something like this became a trend.

Short-lived trend..

Hanging on everyone’s bag and I just can’t help it I did the same. Ahahaha! Only when on more than one occasion I discovered it flowing freely and has stained one of my favorite bags so I did stop using it. And faithfully I came back to my original favorite hand sanitizer from Bench.

Thank you Bench!

Just lately, it already comes in a smaller size, the better for me. =)

I started using it 3 years ago and I panicked each time I’m running out of it. Aside from fab shirts, under wears, denims and footwear. Bench happened to be a part of every teenager’s life in the Philippines. It’s like a local version of Aeropostale or Abercrombie & Fitch. Thank you Bench for these hand sanitizers.

It’s not that expensive too..=)

Badger Sleep Balm…

BADGER sleep balm..

“No beauty shines brightest than that of a good heart.”

Travelling from one place to another causes me headaches at times. And sleeping became harder when you’re alone in your hotel room and far away from your loved ones (and there’s no internet, oh well!). My boss recommended that I might want to visit some spas from the towns I’ve visited and from this time-passing habit/ killing time/ enjoying solitude, the spas taught me to about the benefits of different balms & oils especially when you’re living a life in a suitcase. I had appreciated aroma therapy and all the other therapeutic products there could ever be.

One of my best finds is the sleep enhancer from Badger.

I was just looking around inside this store, and a sales lady ardent enough to recommend it to me, had me try it. Initially, I was having second thoughts upon reading on the ingredients: (Olea Europaea (Extra Virgin Olive) Oil, *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Oil, *Cera Alba (Beeswax), Essential Oils of *Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot), *Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender), *Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary Verbenone), *Zingiber Officinale (Ginger), *Abies Balsamea (Balsam Fir) and CO2 Extract of Zingiber Officinale (Ginger). As I do not like the thought of ginger that much. Surprisingly, when I tried it on, the scent was so soothing, and being informed that everything on it are from natural ingredients, I had to buy it right away.

Just rub it on your forehead, under your nose, on your lips, on your temples or other pulse points. It doesn’t have a sticky feel too.

The fragrance is so relaxing it really brought me to a peaceful sleep. Sweet dreams to the makers of Badger…(–,)

It is so handy, which makes it an ideal travel companion, it easily fits inside your kit. It was good to know that it comes in smaller tins as well, boxed along with the other variants.
